Homework

We value the contribution that home learning makes upon pupil progress.

EYFS: In EYFS, we send home phonics packs to support the week's learning. We also send home reading books. There is a home learning pack which encourages parents to engage with their child in learning about the term's topic.

Key Stage One: We build on the home learning strategies introduced in EYFS and extend them to introduce some simple maths learning at home. It is expected that children read at home.

Key Stage Two: Century forms the basis of our home learning provision in Key Stage Two. This supports children in consolidating their maths, science, reading and spelling. Our school expectation is to complete a MINIMUM of 20 minutes of Century work, three times per week.

We also expect that ALL children engage in reading AT LEAST 4 times each week.

We also offer creative activities which build upon children's topic each half term.
