Class 3

Welcome to Class 3, where our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils continue their learning journey through Lower Key Stage 2. In this class, children build upon the skills and knowledge developed in Key Stage 1, becoming more independent, reflective, and confident learners.

Our curriculum in Class 3 is lively, challenging, and creative, encouraging pupils to take greater ownership of their learning. We promote curiosity and problem-solving through engaging topics that connect subjects and provide real-world relevance.

We follow a two-year rolling curriculum, carefully planned to ensure complete coverage of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum while maintaining excitement and variety. This cycle enables both year groups to work together on shared themes, while activities and outcomes are differentiated to meet the needs of each child. By the end of the cycle, all pupils will have experienced the full breadth of the curriculum without repetition.

In Class 3, we also place a strong emphasis on developing key learning habits — such as resilience, teamwork, and creativity — to prepare children for the challenges of Upper Key Stage 2. Through collaborative projects, outdoor learning, and enrichment opportunities, pupils grow in confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning.
