All About Us

We see parents and carers as true partners in everything we do. Your involvement, feedback and support help shape our school and enrich the experience of every child. Together, we celebrate achievements, overcome challenges and ensure that each child is supported to be their very best. We are incredibly grateful for the trust you place in us and for the shared commitment we have to your children.

Remote Education In the event of a whole school closure, Griffydam Primary School will provide high‑quality remote education using a range of accessible and engaging online platforms. Our aim is to ensure continuity of learning for all pupils, mirroring our in‑school curriculum as closely as possible. Main Platform: Century Century will be our primary remote learning platform. It provides personalised learning pathways in English, maths and science, adapting to each pupil’s needs. Teachers can set assignments, monitor engagement, and track progress. Additional Remote Education Resources Pupils and parents can also access high-quality resources from: Oak Academy A wide range of free video lessons across all subjects. Lessons are taught by qualified teachers and aligned with the National Curriculum. Ideal for additional support, topic revision or independent learning. TT Rockstars Used to support maths fluency and multiplication practice. Pupils can log in daily to maintain number confidence and improve recall speed.

Welcome to Griffydam

A big hello and welcome to Griffydam Primary School.

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher at Griffydam. It really is a very special place to teach. This website has been designed to give you a flavour of some of the fantastic things that we do here.

We are so lucky to sit right in the heart of the National Forest, so our children can benefit from our wonderful grounds and outdoor learning provision.

Our motto is 'Achieving Together' and this ethos of care runs throughout the school, from our youngest children in Class 1  to our school leavers in Class 4.

Thank you for visiting.
