Class 4
Welcome to Class 4, where our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils take on new challenges and responsibilities as the oldest members of our school community. In this class, children develop maturity, independence, and leadership skills as they prepare for the transition to secondary education.
Learning in Class 4 is engaging, ambitious, and thought-provoking. We encourage pupils to think critically, work collaboratively, and apply their knowledge with confidence across a wide range of subjects. Lessons are designed to deepen understanding, extend skills, and foster a love of learning that continues beyond primary school.

We follow a two-year rolling curriculum, ensuring that all pupils experience the full breadth of the Upper Key Stage 2 National Curriculum. This approach allows both year groups to explore topics together, while activities and expectations are carefully tailored to suit each age and ability. The curriculum provides challenge and progression, supporting pupils to achieve their best academically, socially, and emotionally.

Class 4 pupils are also encouraged to model our school values and contribute positively to the school community. By the time they leave us, children in Class 4 are confident, capable, and ready for the next stage of their education.
